Google Checkout And Htaccess File Question-can't Access Admin

Recommended Posts

Posted

I just finished installing the google-checkout-oscommerce-v1.3RC2rev2 contrib but...there is a file to be placed in catalog/admin called htaccess.

I already have such a file, so...I saved it...uploaded the htaccess file that came with the contrib, and I can no longer access the Admin side of my website. I get a 404 error.

I got rid of that htaccess file and put my old one back, and I'm in Admin just fine. And Google Checkout appears to have installed just fine. Yet...when I enter all of my settings...and then test a purchase in my website, the Google Checkout gif appears with the text 'not available for these items' beneath it. The gif is also grayed out.

Is this because of my being unable to operate with the htaccess file the contrib provided? My existing htaccess file is short and sweet...simply reads:

AuthType Basic

AuthName "OS Commerce Administration"

AuthUserFile "/home/xxxxxx/.htpasswds/xxxxx/admin/passwd"

require valid-user

I tried putting that same code into the Google contrib's htaccess file but it doesn't work. How do I handle this?

Forget my post. Geez.

The file I had to upload was named htaccess.php..........not just htaccess.

So...okay. I got that file up. But, I'm still getting the Google Checkout gif reading 'not available for these items' message when I view my cart.

Guess I'm going to have to read a gazillion posts in the support thread now. :'(
