jaidenmac
When I goto the Admin panels to edit settings, most of the buttons that are in the \includes\languages\english\images\buttons\ folder do not show up right, see image below: When I looked at the actual code, the code shows that the update and cancel buttons were linked to the images, \includes\languages\english\images\buttons\buttons_update.gif and \includes\languages\english\images\buttons\button_cancel.gif. When I searched the \includes\languages\english\images\buttons\ folder, there was no button_cancel.gif but there was a button_update.gif. Neither image loaded on the page for me, as displayed on the screenshot above, the images are supposed to look like: Can anyone help me and show me what the admin panel should look like, if these images are missing or help with getting these images to appear correctly? Thanks.
Guest
use an ftp module and re-upload the button images (use binary mode if available). The images seem corrupted.
jaidenmac
But the actual image in the folder is a blue image, whereas what actually is displayed looks like a corrupted normal form button.. Plus, a button_cancel.gif doesn't even exist, but it still looks corrupted too?
Guest
that's because you're looking at the wrong folder, use the right click->properties on the browser while hovering the image to see its location. It should be catalog\admin\includes\languages\english\images\buttons\
jaidenmac
enigma1, You were right about the folder, It is in the admin\includes\... subdirectory. I reuploaded all the images in ascii mode and it fixed the problem. Thanks a lot for your time!

The icons are in /catalog/includes/languages/english/images/buttons. What is the correct location for /catalog and /admin? It makes sense that it should be /catalog/admin but, what do I know. ;-} I'll try to re-upload the buttons via an ASCII ftp tool.

So, I suspect it is a question of the where osCommerce expects the files to be instead of where they are. Is there a setting in configure.php pointing them or should I just bite the bullet and move admin under /catalog and reconfigure (assuming I remember how I changed it when I put /admin // to /configure. ;-}

bstevens
bstevensenigma1 No joy. I tried binary mode with SmartFTP. http://www.blendedsystems.com/catalog/login.php still shows only the alt=text for continue and there are no flags icons for the languages. Guest
Try uploading 1 image that is broken using your hosting control panel (such as CPanel file manager) and see if that works. Just work your way to the proper directory public_html/catalog/includes/languages/english/images/buttons/button_continue.gif and upload the image. Should give an indication if it is your FTP program settings.
