Advanced Search : Search 'keyword' In Manufacturers

Hello everybody,

 

I searched a lot for this but couldn't find any answer anywhere. What I need is an extra search option.

 

Basically I have a page with all manufacturers. I need to add the possiblity to sort them in different categories/pages by the first letter. So the main 'Manufacturers' page has a A | B | C etc. small menu. Clicking on A will display all manufacturers whose names begin with A.

I figured out that the only way I can do this (except of course for a plain static page), is by adding a 'Search manufacturers' option. Thus when clicking on A, you actually click on /advanced_search.php?w-i-t-h-s-o-m-e-e-x-t-r-a-o-p-t-i-o-n

 

Conclusion is: I would like to do a search like: search for "S" (with Match Case) in "Manufacturers".

Results will be like: Samsung, Sanyo, Sony etc. If the manufacturer's name is like "Ad Sempre", it will also include it, it's no problem if it does (it's even better actually).

 

Anyone has any idea how to search in manufacturers' names?
