hi all

 

 

new as to what i am to oscommerce and the world of php i have almost finished my site but i am total stuck on one thing

i need to add a link from an image that i have installed on my index page and i just cant figure it out for the life of me.

 

 

would some one please tell me how to do this in simple terms plse

 

i also need to add an email link from a image that is also on the front page

If the link is going to a non-oscommerce page, use standard html linking code. If it is going to somewhere within your shop, use the tep_href_link function. You can see an example in includes/header.php where your logo is displayed.

The code you're looking for should look like this:

 

echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(Linktarget) . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . yourpic.jpg, yourpic_text, IMAGE_WIDTH, IMAGE_HEIGHT) .  '</a>';

 

That's the way how in OsC a link is wrapped around a pic usually.

The page where the code for image is.

 

and replace your code of image with the code as stated above

echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(Linktarget) . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . yourpic.jpg, yourpic_text, IMAGE_WIDTH, IMAGE_HEIGHT) . '</a>';
