andi-m Posted June 2, 2007 Share Posted June 2, 2007 I am really confused. I went to os soultions, clicked on the download (American) link, a message box opened "do you want to open or save?" I clicked open. Swiftly an os commerce folder icon appeared., I clicked on it and there was a zippered folder so I clicked on it and un-zipped it. I have no idea what it is. so I repeated the process. I ended up with an os 2.x folder, when I clicked on this there are a lot of other folders. this is unlike other things I've ever downloaded. Jack_mcs Posted June 2, 2007 Share Posted June 2, 2007 Try this: - Download the oscommerce package to your computer - Extract the contents - Upload the complete contents of the included catalog directory to the location on your server where the shop will be located. - Go to the Install directory using a browser and begin the install procedure. For example, let's say you want to install the shop in the abc directory of yourdomain.com. You would create a directory named abc on the server, upload the contents above to it, goto http://yourdomain.com/abc/install/index.php. Follow the directions from there.
