_Birddog_ Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Hello all, Like so many others I am going to start my post by thanking everyone involved in the OSC and STS projects, so Thank you, your work is very much appreciated. I'm a brand new user of OSC and have decided to use STS4.5.2. I installed the megapack STS4.5.2 contribution over a fresh install of OSC2.2. Accorinding to the doco the /catalog/includes/sts_templates/test/sts_template.html file is where changes should be made to modify the look of the store. However when I set the Template folder to 'test' (minus the quotes) in the STS Module Default menu, none of the left or right infoboxes appeared. So I changed the Template folder to 'full' and everything works fine, however if I make changes to the /catalog/includes/sts_templates/full/sts_template.html file, nothing is reflected in the presentation of the store. I've found that I have to make changes to /catalog/includes/sts_templates/test/index.php.html. My question is, is this how things should be working, or have I done something wrong? Also, is the Basic Design Package compatible with STS4.5.2? Is using these two contributions together a good idea?, or can the effects of BDP be achieved in STS? Thanks, Birddog Quote
bkellum Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Be sure that you have enabled STS by selecting the "true" option for "use Templates" in the STS Default Module in the admin. Now all you need to do is edit the templates that you want to use. Be sure to read the STS User Manual section regarding Creating Templates. The flow charts display the order that STS uses to use a specific template. Most of the tips in the Basics for Design forum can be used along with STS.
