Header When Minimalised

Dear Reader,

 

Does anyone have the solution for my following problem:

 

I have put my header over the entire length of the screen. When fully maximised its perfect. But when i minimalise the window to any format with IE and Mozilla the header still continues, it doenst reshape to the current format, so it continues it picture far past the shopping cart box!
