I've been on this forum literally ALL DAY. :'( I followed all the directions for setting product attributes for downloads, I put the winzip file in the download folder, and enabled the downloads in configuration. I've noticed that many have a problem with the links showing up after the order is placed. I'm not having that problem, mine downloads, but it takes just a second and when I try open the file it is blank. Properties of the file show 0 bytes. I downloaded using ftp and no problem there. I have 3000 GB of bandwith available for the month and I haven't really used any. I also have 300 GB of disk space that I can use and have only used 55mb. The file I'm trying to set up for download is 43mb. I don't know if the size is what is causing it not to work or not. my eyes are about to fall out of my head from searching the forum all day and nothing works. Please help me. Also, I noticed that people were asking if there was a way to split up the download into two or three files for one product. If it's a size issue I could definitely do that, I just don't know how to set it up for multiple downloads to one product. Please help. ops...one of my eyes just rolled under my desk. liz217 Posted June 1, 2007 Author Share Posted June 1, 2007 Actually I think I found part of the problem. I uploaded a new file that was only about 5mb and it worked fine. Itried to do one that was a little under 10mb and it told me there was an error. i went on my webhost and looked at the error logs and it says this. There are a few different ones so here they are. They said I should check the lines that the error log is pointing at and I did. There's nothing there about limits on the lines it specifies. There goes the other eye.... I had the link working and everything seemed right but when I downloaded, I got 0 byte files. It turned out I had the GZIP compression enabled. One I disabled it, my files download with no problem.
