Install gets stuck on page 2

---------------------------

The most common cause for installation getting stuck in step 2

is that most recent PHP installations have register_long_arrays = OFF

This needs to be turned to ON in the php.ini file (you will need to

stop and restart your server to get this change to take effect.)

I have read through a ton of forum postings and still can't figure this out. During the install process I get through to step 4, but when I click continue I get returned to step 2 and can no longer navigate.

I have changed the attributes of the config.php to 777 in both locations.

I opened up the php.ini file and could not find any reference to register_long_array=on (or off) so I added it. (not sure if that was good to do)

I am very new to this, and trying to learn as I go, any help would be appreciated.
