Error: Back-up Directory Does Not Exist

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm getting an Error: Backup directory does not exist. Please set this in configure.php.

How would I do that?

My backup directory should be:

Backup Directory: /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/afrorhythms.com/httpdocs/admin/backups/

But I do not have permission from my host in Control Panel to do this.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Cheryl

Is there a backups directory in the admin directory? Are you saying you are not allowed to create one?

There is no back-up directory in Admin and the warning seems to suggest I need to add it in my catalog/admin/config but I'm not sure where in the code to add the path for backup.

but when I go to my Con trol Panel the host has not set the permission for me to backup on their server. I've made a request to them for this permission with no response yet.

But I would like to have backup at least in Admin. How do I do this?

Thanks,

The error message is misleading. You need to create a backups directory in admin. Name it backups, not Backups. Check the permissions settings that the images directory is set to and do the same for the backups directory. Go to admin->Tools and see if it can see it.
