Okay I know this has been discussed before- but i searched for this problem few days back and found a thread that kinda touched on the issue but didnt give resolution and now when i am searching for it i am unable to find that thread so i have to make a new one, I apologize for duplicate.

But here is the problem.

my shop link:

http://www.pgs.com.pk/shop/

The images are not showing, i guess the problem may be because of incorrect image path and bunch of other stuff but can anyone help me with a solution, someone with a same problem who was able to fix it.

Will be very thankful

Thanks

This is a long standing problem often seen in the forum, one I have not completely been able to resolve either. But if you are lucky you may want to check your permissions on your image folder (change to chmod 777 or 755).

You can change this in your FTP or Control Panel. chmod 777 means rwx rwx rwx (read, write, execute) for the owner, group or all others. The values are r=4, w=2 x=1, so you can make the permission combination you need.

Also you may want to check your php.in file to make sure file uploads=ON. Also check your paths in catalog/configure/php and catlaog/admin/configure.php files. Here is were I'm limited and need some community support.

If I find out any more I'll let you know.

Hope this helps.Cheryl

Thanks Cheryl - I have already tried that actually the permissions were already enabled so that didnt help. Anyone who have had this problem and was able to fix it please let me know.

An interesting development though - I tried to open this with FIREFOX and everything works just fine. Images dont show when i try to open them with IE or any other browser... i wonder if this is just me

Don't tell me, this is a windows 2000 server and you have played about with setting up a password protected admin folder and?

I have the same problem... I think it's to do with user groups, if I play about and assign rights and permissions then I can get it to work again... but as soon as I log into the admin panel and add another product the image wont uplaod (so it says, but its there!) and it wants you to log in with a password! ... when the images folder isn't even password protected!!!
