Guest
I am having an error in my config.php file The error message is: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/illusive/public_html/knotnbauble/Shoppe/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. What should I Chmod it to? I have it set at 755...

Guest
Okay, thanks Jared - I tried that, but it doesn't seem to have done anything. My site is Knot & Bauble if you can see the error maybe that will help.
Guest
What did you use to set the permissions? Sometimes, setting permissions via an FTP client is refused by the server. You may have to use a shell account (i.e. SSH) or the web hosting company's File Manager in the web hosting control panel.
Guest
:'( I think I am going bonkers on this. Jared -I took your advice and used cpanel's file manager to change the permission on the file but I'm still getting the message: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/illusive/public_html/knotnbauble/Shoppe/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. I don't know what else to try. Any ideas?
Funatico
Try to see in you cpanel ( of your host, not installation ), you should have list of chmod codes and what do they do. It could be different for every host... Jewelry Seeker
