X-Factor
I installed paypal as a payment module. A couple of customers already placed orders, but their shopping carts have NOT been emptied after their payment went through with paypal so basically their order is not finalized at my OSC cart... so I don't know what to send them because their orders aren't listed anywhere! What do I do??? Please help! Thanks!

What I mean is after they made there payment did paypal.com direct them to this http://www.yoursite.com/catalog/checkout_success.php if not that is why there shopping cart was not emptied. X-Factor
Thank you for the quick reply, I just tried placing an order myself. Basically, as soon as the customer presses "Confirm" order, they go directly to paypal to fill out their payment info, but when they confirm their order with paypal, it never actually sends them back to MY website, although they do have the option to "Return to mybusinessname" when their order is complete, but that just sends them to my home page without ever going to the checkout_success page... is this something I should sort out with paypal people then??? X-Factor
Thank you Wade, that seems to work better. However, it appears that the return is not exactly "auto" as paypal states, as OSC only records the order if the customer CHOOSES to click that little "Return to Merchant" link at the bottom of the paypal confirmation screen. I guess I'll play around with some of those IPN contributions anyway to see if I can actually make pp send my customers back to my site automatically... Yes standard Paypal module will work if set up correctly and IF customers press return to merchant but as you have seen they often don't. IPN provides a solution to this by posting the order to admin before the customer goes to Paypal so you have the order.
