this would be good seo wise when used with chemos mod to pull old urls out of the search engines, and reduce duplicate content

I have the same question... Have installed a redirect mod but it's shite in that you have to manually go put in links and even that only posts a link underneath the product not found text taking you to a new page...

 

Can anyone help?

I am using this contribution, and it works like a charm. Better than a simple 301 because it gives the customers new options in the same category they were already looking.

Doesn't look to bad... just reckon the algorithm can be more clarified so that more relevant products are listed nearer to the top, will work on that!!!!
