Some Errors Occurred During Installation

During the various install phase i collected the following warnings:

 

 

Warning: set_time_limit(): Cannot set time limit in safe mode in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/ceshop/catalog/install/includes/functions/general.php on line 47

 

 

Warning: fopen(/home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/ceshop/catalog/admin/includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/ceshop/catalog/install/templates/pages/install_7.php on line 259

 

Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/ceshop/catalog/install/templates/pages/install_7.php on line 260

 

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/ceshop/catalog/install/templates/pages/install_7.php on line 261

 

When clicking on Administration it says:

 

1046 - No Database Selected

 

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

 

The shop (catalog) button gives a fine page !!!

 

 

Background : I used the same name for a second user !!

 

 

Should I repeat the install, or can htis be fixed....

I just started installing and after the lastest questions i got the choice between

 

catalog and administration.

 

In between i got the collected warnings and in addition i cannot

get to the administration panel (see latest message)

 

Do you suggest I just restart from the beginning ???

 

Uploading, create database etc ?

I did a full fresh install on another database, and everything went better.

Now I can administer the file.

But Murphy was hidden somewhere behind a comment statement !!!!

 

When I try to delete one of the demo categories (for example mice) I get

the following error / warning (which i got also during install, but ignored..)

I would be very grateful for a hint on how to attack this.

I found a topic about commenting out several lines in general.php

That solved the problem (for now!!!)
