Knives Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 so even if i set my permissons on the configure files and the htaccess file to chmod 755 it shouldnt make a difference then ?? is that right ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ THE GREATEST BATTLE IN THE WORLD
Iggy Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 so even if i set my permissons on the configure files and the htaccess file to chmod 755 it shouldnt make a difference then ?? is that right The 7 connotes read/write/execute permissions The 5 means read/execute The three numbers are, in succession, User/Group/World How you set them depends on your server setup. I set my config files 644 ( read/write - read -read ) But it's up to you. Iggy Everything's funny but nothing's a joke...
Knives Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 i strange really so i enable the global thingy in my htaccess change htaccess to 755 and both the configures to 755 and it should work, there is one thing ive noticed though the webhost (www.4uhosting.co.uk) is using php version 4 not version 5 would this make a differance ???? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ THE GREATEST BATTLE IN THE WORLD
