Armored
Hi, I'm really stuck with this... I would like to add a recipe collection to my oscommerce site but I don't really have a clue. I have tried a few possibilities but none was working. What would be the right way to go about it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Helvetica2
Hi Armored Would people buy it, or would it be free ? One way would be a password-protected Access or Excel database uploaded separately to your website. People only get the download URL and/or password when they've paid. So you'd put the item in your shop under a normal description, describe what the recipes are etc. plus the price and offer them/it in your shop. Excel has the advantage that there is a free excel reader for people who don't have MS Office. If it's free you could always just put the database(s) or excel list(s) online a bit like these http://www.catbikes.ch/coinstuff/coins-ric.htm (scroll down a couple of lines) and people can help themselves for free! Advantage? It's garbage in front of oscommerce in every aspect. You should check the contributions more, because you're missing the potential of osC. Armored
Thanks Helvetica2 and Enigma1! The recipes will be integrated into the site and will be freely accessible. I actually want to keep everything in one database and also be able to update this section via the admin panel. Articles manager looks about spot on for this. Thanks a lot for your time and help! :)
