Is it possible? If so, are there any particulars about the update I should know about?

THanks

It is not an easy job and I wouldn't recommend it. You would have to install the new version of oscommerce and then install all contributions that your current shop has into it. That's the easy part. Then you have to convert the database, The address book table is not compatible between the two so it has to be converted, if you want to keep your customer entries. Depending upon your level of experience, that could take an hour or two to never.

You can use Easy populate to transfer the products. Of, if you dont' want to do that, you would just transfer the product tables from the old database to the new using phpmyadmin. Both would be much faster than entering in 80 products. Of course, you would have to install Easy Populate in both shops.
