A Complete Mess

i am at wits end....

have just spent close to 3weeks getting the website and the shop up and running, i leave the damn thing alone for 1 weekend and its all gone up the spout.

to put it simply my entire online shop has reverted back to its original default just installed state...

and i have no ideas why.

when i tried to access the admin and catalog this morning all i got was a message saying the database couldnt be accessed.

after checking my files where still there, via ftp, i looked again... only to find my entire catalog and everything i just spent 2weeks learning from the ground up, HAS COMPLETELY DISAPEARED!

help.... :'(

is there anyway to recover my lost info?

all my uploaded images are still there and the file structure hasnt changed, but its all messed up and im trying really hard not to swear...

any advice/replies will be much appriciated as i really need some help..

thanks again

It may be a problem with your ftp program. What are you using? I have noticed recently that filezilla causes some problems sometimes, I just have to wait till the files is upload befoe I continue.

You did backup your database?

was using leechftp but it wasnt that...

saturday all was well, shop was working fine... this morning (ah the joy of never working mondays...) all has gone to hell.

its like someone or thing pushed the big red "Don't Touch" button.

unfortunately (and kinda noobish) i didnt even know there was a back-up feature until everything went down...

so i think im back to square one with it now but what a horribly sharp learning curve this stuff has.. blah!
