No Order In Admin

Anyboby know what would cause it that we receive the payment but not the order details. I think it has something to do with the customer not returning to the site after paying through Paypal. Is there anyway to get aroun this or is it just something that happens?

A way around would be to install the Paypal IPN (instant payment notification) payment module.

If payment is from paypal using std paypal module that comes with oscommerce then this might happen if customer has not returned back to the site after paying at paypla.

 

This might happen because

1)After paying the customer didnt bother to return by cliking return.

2)Your auto return not set to true and

3)Return URL needs to be set as needed.

4)Also if internet connection went down then to the cust will not be able too.

 

So a better suggestion is to have order holding contrib also a suggestion to use paypal IPN rather then the std one.

 

As there is a backend notification that paypal sends.

Okay, so i have downloaded this one:

osCommerce PayPal IPN Module v2.0 For 2.2MS2 1 January 2007.

 

I am having some difficulties following the install instructions - please see my comments below:

 

 

1. Copy the files in the directory structure set in the contribution download file to your osCommerce installation directory.

*****I have these 2 folders from the download:catalog/ext & catalog/includes. Do I upload these into the admin folder or into the instal folder that one should delete or rename after installing Oscommerce right at the beginning?

 

2. Go to the Administration Tool->Modules->Payment section at your osCommerce Administration Tool.

*****I have tried both of my methods above in red, but when I go to the payment section I don't see any PAYPAL IPN, only the original PAYPAL. Must I remove the standard PAYPAL before installing this one?

 

 

Feeling a bit lost ....can anybody help me this this please?
