How are you restoring your database? If your new hosting company offers phpMyAdmin, or if you have similar access to the database, you can literally copy all of the text from your backup .sql file and paste it into the sql statement window and press "go" (phpMyAdmin). Other dbm's allow you to browse for your file and then execute the statements that way.

try to import your .sql file though osc's admin area.

if you trying via phpmyadmin you may reach the file size limit.

check whats your file size limit and if its 2 small and you can't import it via osc's admin area then break your .sql file in smaller pieces

or paste it in small groups to your phpmyadmin.

Did you set up a new (blank) database to import your backup into?
