Oh Noes! Database Install/import Error

NEVERMIND, FIXED IT. Just made a new database and it worked fine <shrugs>

Hello my name is AL and I am a dreamhost user...

<Hello, AL!>

I'm trying to install oscommerce (duh) and I can't get past the database import portion.

The test connection fails with the following error:

Access denied for user 'myusername'@'servers ip address' to database 'database name'

(the names have been changed to protect the innocent and thats why they are italicized)

OK... with that said, here's what i've done

-I can connect to the database with no problems using the user that I'm trying to connect with.

-I've created a PHP script to also test the mysql connection and it works gravy baby.

-I've checked... rechecked... and checked four more times the database name, the database host, and the username/password

-I've whispered sweet nothings to my configuration.php file and patted its booty for good measure

Here's what I know...

-Using php4

-dreamhost support doesn't have a clue (good people though)

-MySQL ver 5.0.24a

-Dreamhost does not allow localhost for the hostname

Help me, and my fish please! <* ))) ><
