Using Templates And Php And Oscommerce

I got a "template" ( a predesigned OSCOmmerce site) that someone else created and it is in PHP and for OSCommerce, can anyone help me get started. I have this template and I installed a PHP editor but I can not figure out how to see the template, I only see code and I can't figure out what needs to be edited so I am looking for something that will help me. I am used to dreamweaver and html, PHP is new to me. I am trying to figure out how to customize the template with my companies info so it will be my own OScommerce website, I am also new to OSCommerce.

 

I have installed the OSCommerce stuff on my server (I use startlogic for my host) and have tried uploading the files so I could even just see the template but that did not work. They told me to upload the files via a FTP program (which I did) and upload them to my public_html file (which I did) but I still have no webpage. I am so confused, any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated!!!

Template 11407 is an osCommerce template and does not include html files.
