Hi guys

I made this website for a friend. This is my first attempt at making an ecommerce website. All comments and constructive criticism are welcome.

Please note that this Website is LIVE and we’re still adding products to the catalog.

The items you sell are very nice. I would not buy any of them without seeing a properly sized image. So why not provide that directly on the products page instead of making me click to enlarge it?

What about the shipping charge? I have to create an account to see how much you charge. First of all, add a weight to the product pages or within the shopping cart and give me a shipping estimate.

I would recommend taking out the emphasis on paypal and reword it to something like "we accept all major credit and debit cards using paypal as our secure payment processor".

I know exactly how osC is working but I still click on one of the "new products in may" items instead of a subcategory. Like this I will not see the other products in a subcategory. So either get rid of the new products module (makes your index page too long anyway) or add big subcategory pictures.

Otherwise it's pretty much out of the box standard osC. Maybe add purchase without account or fast easy checkout. I don't think your customers are likely to be return customers so they would not benefit from the members features.

You also need to add some search engine optimisation like ultimate seo urls, page titles with keywords etc.

I hope this helps,

Nice neat and tidy shop, I like the simplicity of your colour scheme. I'd personally remove when the item was added statement and add some seperation lines in the catagory box and get rid of the ->

Buttons are really nice and your products are beautiful, I'd liked to have seen bigger pics of them though rather than have to click to enlarge, they really are too nice to hide, show them off !

Nice job and good luck :)

I cannot get your site to open beyond the header and navigation?

It just hangs after this and loads no further. Using IE 6

You talking about close ups or just large images? What size ur talking about here ?? right now we use 385x450 for large images.

Well ur right about this. Do u know a contrib that will do this ?

Well there's no emphasis on paypal as far as i can see. PayPal is not even mentioned in the main page. Can u be more specific here.

We're gonna put catagory pictures soon. Also gonna increase the catagory font.

I'm not sure what u mean by "out of the box standard osC"! We prefer this layout over other fancy ones bcs of usability. Idea is to keep it clean and simple and make the shopping as quick and easy as possible.

You also need to add some search engine optimisation like ultimate seo urls, page titles with keywords etc.

Will check in to this!

Can u also provide some feedback on page load times, responsiveness etc?

Thanks

Hi thanks for ur feedback. Can u be more specific on what u like to see in product shots? You want to see large images or close ups to check details?

Image size on the product info pages: 250x250px should be a decent size. Leave the enlarge with the full size for further details. I really meant the image size. Close-ups on special details would be another great idea.

There is a contribution for shipping estimates. Just search in the contrib section for this. Can't remember the name but it was easy to find.

"Out of the box osC" is not meant in a negative way. Just that there is nothing much else that can be given feedback on. Most people here give feedback on the store structure/navigation and not on the products offered (or only if the design matches or conflicts with the products).

Paypal - mentioned several times on the payment page. As far as I know paypal shows both options (login to existing paypal account or pay without account) anyway. No need to mention that you don't need an account to pay with paypal. I think there is also a limit of 10 checkouts through paypal with one CC before you are required to create a paypal account or use another CC.

Site seems to load smoothly but I'm on a fast connection anyway.

Hi, please excuse my explaination as im no techie lol but I'll try and explain best I can.

When I clicked on your link and your site loaded, first thing I thought was 'wow, those are gorgeous' I was instintly enticed to view your site further, I wanted to keep that 'wow' factor throughout my viewing. I like the size of the products in the pop up when you click to enlarge, i'm perhaps just a lazy mare  but I figure that most people are in such a rush these days and giving them less to do to make things quicker is usually a good thing.

I just felt that if your product was shown in the main details the size it is in pop up window and have perhaps different angle views in pop up if necessary it would look better. Just my personal opinion and I hope you don't think I'm being too critical
