What should i look for to correct this problem? Thanks
Guest Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Does the frontend of your site have any errors? Are you willing to give the domain name so we can take a look?

Thanks for your reply , yes this is the url-www.valetpantry.com/oscommerce.sql/catalog/install/index.php- This is just a trial to learn how it works, is not connected to the URL hosting it.Regards
oschellas Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I don't think using oscommerce.sql as a directory path is a good idea and could lead to errors. Move all catalog files to www.valetpantry.com/catalog or to www.valetpantry.com/ and start installing from there.
Guest Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Yes I agree. What reason would you have to name the folder .sql? I think you're just asking for problems if you do that.

I tried with -catalog- but i got the same problem as before or I get - osCommerce Configuration The following error has occurred: The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set. Please perform the following actions: * cd /hsphere/local/home/weisswol/valetpantry.com/catalog/includes/ * touch configure.php * chmod 706 configure.php * cd /hsphere/local/home/weisswol/valetpantry.com/catalog/admin/includes/configure.php tp 644 * touch configure.php * chmod 706 configure.php If chmod 706 does not work, please try chmod 777. If you are running this installation procedure under a Microsoft Windows environment, try renaming the existing configuration file so a new file can be created. ************ I can't figure out what file is not configured. In the -documentation.pdf- is not clear either where to insert -catalog/includes/configure.php to 644. Do you know what is all about?
Guest Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 The file is already there. You just CHMOD the file 777 while you are setting up the site, then change it back to 644 later.
