Advanced Search header not showing - any Tips ??

I accidently deleted my header.php file, and when i restored it from the header.php from the original template, and founf the advanced search header contribution, i tried putting back in the search header bar that resembles ebay searching bar.. and for some reason it wont appear in front of the date on my page.. is the contribution right? or is there extra code you need to add to other areas they havent listed..??

ALSO ** if any australian people read this, or i suppose just someone really good at OSC, i need help with some other small features, and would greatly appreciate it someone might have some spare time on their hands to give me a hand..?

LET ME ELABORATE with showing you the code.. (the only thing i noticed about the contribution was that the search code appears twice..?)
