framesti
We offer several items whose options and attributes are similar. Is there any way to copy en masse for each similar item rather than drudgery of listing each attribute and option for each similar product.
Guest
There are quite a few contributions to do this. Searching for attributes on the contrib page yielded 165 results for contributions that have the word "attribute" in them. madcrazygirl
My that is some list to choose from! If it helps I have many products with the same or similar attributes and use Attribute Sets contribution. It enables you to group lists of attributes together and then you just tick a box in admin to apply that set to the product. Seem to remember it was not the quickest install but works great for me so was well worth the effort. best wishes

I'm very new to this oscommerce and not much of a geek yet. I have some other "contributions" that I have tried to install and feel I'm trying to install them in the wrong place or using the wrong method. Any hints? Thanks, Len
madcrazygirl
Sorry installed some time ago so don't really remember but it was when I was brand new to oscommerce and attributes were the bane of my life, so if I managed it then sure you will be fine! Just a case of following the instructions very carefully. I print them off and then mark off as I go as it is very easy to miss something otherwise. Once installed you go to admin and say you want to list ten colours on each product then you would make a set called colours and then save it. Next time you want to add these colours to a product you just press attribute sets and tick the colours box and it will add the ten colours for you. So you can see if you have a lot of products installing the contribution more than pays for itself in time saved. Sure there are other contributions but this is just the one I enjoy.
