Guest
I have uploaded oscommerce with three different themes onto three different subdomains within the same domain. All three seemed to install fine. Although I did notice it was taking a hell of a long time to upload the files to the server. I have set all the permissions as per the instruction manual. Everything on the site seems to work except for the login.php When I try to visit login.php I get a 403 and 404 with the following message: You don't have permission to access /login.php on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I have checked all the permissions numerous times and it all seems to be in order. You can view the error here https://www.hisidealgifts.com/login.php Any help would be great as this is a major problem stopping me from moving on to other areas. thanks in advance. ♥Vger
You are suffering from the famous "Enabling SSL without having SSL" bug When you install with SSL enabled it sets up your site for full ssl, and you only have shared. Either get your shared ssl path from your hosting company or set enable_ssl to false in both configure.php files. Vger
Guest
What a star. You clearly know your stuff. I do have a shared ssl, but i was unsure where to put the ssl address. My shared ssl is registered with my master domain, but I have all my shops in m subdomains. Would that cause a problem? One of the ssl addresses I have been given seem to point towards my master domain. (www.mydomain.com/~myUserName) The other ssl address is secureNUMBER.welcomewebsites.com (or soething like that) When I select ssl in oscommerce it asks for the secure link to my shop. I was unsure what to put in there because as far as I'm aware I don't have a secure link to my shop, it takes you to the master domain. if you see what I mean. Could I just use the second secure addess I mentioned? I was unsure of what to put in the textbox, so I left it as it already had an address in it. Once again thanks for your help. Google only pulled up one post with this problem and that was all related to permissions, hence me checking all permissions. One more thing. Do you have any advice for uploading? My ftp (filezilla and cuteftp) switch from binary to the correct setting for uploading oscommerce, but it takes around half an hour to upload 10MB. This doesnt seem right because my conenction regularly uploads at 650kb per second. Any advice? Dave
