Change Catalog Categories to Images/Icons

I've tried to search here, but haven't found out where to make the changes needed so that I could have the links for the different categories in my catalog be images/icons.

 

I'm not really sure what to call them, but if you look at my site...you'll see that i've changed most of the links on the left boxes to images. I haven't been able to find how to change the two links in the top box to images (the ones that say "duplicates" and "publications"

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This doesn't fully answer your question, but I hope that it sets you on the right track. Those two items are categories. That list is created by the includes/boxes/categories.php file. Though I can't give you the specifics, I suggest that you could achieve your goal by modifying the SQL query in this file to also ask for the value in the categories_image column, then to echo this in place of the category name.

 

I know this doesn't give you the full solution, but I hope it gives you a starting point.
