Guest Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Hi I am having trouble editing footer.php due to permission restictions. Please advise how to set permissions. Thanks
Guest Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 edit files using a regular editor. Use an ftp tool to download the file, edit it and then re-upload it. File permissions can be set using your host's cpanel. Some ftp tools also come with such permission features integrated (there not always effective though as it depends on server configuration).

I wish I had known this yesterday. I could possibly have saved a week's worth of work!
