dplogan
I'm more of a web builder than code expert. I use Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash, and Photoshop on a Macintosh platform to build sites. I'm wondering how, or if, osCommerce can be used in conjunction with the above software? How is it installed? Do I build the site first and then add osCommerce? Or do I somehow weave the commerce code in as the site is built? Or does the osCommerce software become a part of Dreamweaver, showing up in the tool box? Os commerce is the website/store. you need to download server software with php and mysql. Xammp, easyphp, both free, have all these. Not sure about Mac platform. once these are installed, oscommerce can be installed to the server, then you will pull up the site in dreamweaver and edit code just as usual except that because it is php you will need to open a browser to localhost to view the changes.
