winlotwin Posted May 16, 2007 Share Posted May 16, 2007 Hi all, I have been using OSC for a while. I want to ensure that my site's down time is minimum. How I can ensure this ? Can we have automatic backup ? how about this idea. We can have Database on two servers, one is main and second is emergency server. Both database are updated simultaneously ( or second one can be updated twice a day) Is it possible that when main site or database server is down, then secondary database is automatically used ? what we can do in emergency if server is down ? You know that changing DNS takes quite time to show site on another server.... Also can there be a centerlized Error handeling ? does anyone have more questions and suggestions for this .
