GSXR
Hi all, I run OSC on a 1&1 shared hosting package and have approx 4,500 products. My next project is potentially much larger, having tens of thousands of products and I find the performance of the 1&1 shared MySql server to be a little 'variable', and do not feel confident about it's ability to cope with what I hope will be high traffic. Q. If I splash out and pay for a managed Linux server (again with 1&1), am I able to run the web server (Apache) and the DB server (MySQL) on the same machine? This might be a stupid question, I honestly don't know but I don't want to spend the money only to find that I have a web server that still needs to make a remote connection to a shared MySQL server. All and any help will be appreciated. Regards, Ian.
Guest
That would probably be a question best answered by whatever hosting company you choose (1&1).
