joeboomer Posted May 15, 2007 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Hello, My store has about 6,000 products. We have a lot of product attributes that are not used & some that are rarely used. I've heard that the product attributes are based on their index number & deleting an attribute that is in the middle of the list would have very bad consequences. Also, I was wondering what the ramifications would be if I deleted an attribute that is being used by a product. Any help would be greatly appreciated. psynaptic Posted May 15, 2007 Share Posted May 15, 2007 I don't have much experience of deleting attributes but I suggest that you make a full backup and setup a local version of your site. That way you can experiment with mysql statements or simply using a mysql client and see what the consequences are. If someone knows they will chime in but the logical way forward would be to do some tests.
