Change reference to products_model from products_id?

Hi all,

 

I'm new to OSCommerce, but I switched to it from bCentral Commerce Manager when it went belly up.

 

I have a problem though, and I'm hoping you guys and girls can help. When our webhost changed our platform, they imported our products into the OSCommerce database, but when they did so, the SKU numbers/product IDs Commerce Manager became the model instead. In the SQL tables, I can see that products_id is an auto-incremented field and is usually used in the URL to refer to a product.

 

What I'd like to do is reference the products_model instead, and whether that would be done by switching some columns in some tables, I do not know. To change all of our products manually is time-consuming.

 

Does anyone have a solution?
