"Categories" box disappears

I have had my website (www.fitness-shop.com.au) for about a year now. However, i have just noticed that the Categories box (on the main page) disappears when i click to return to that page.

On the top left of the pages, i have put my site logo. when you click on this logo, i have linked it back to the home page. However, when you proceed through the site, and then click the logo to return to the main page, the Ctaegories box has gone. This is no good, as the customer has no way to then select a product category to search.

Any one have an idea why this is happening?

open your catalog/index.php and make sure you havn't hacked out any code starting at line 52 that calls for left column and then categories

my code was exactly the same. but just to be certain, i pasted it over my current code. howeverm the problem still exists.

Any other suggestions?

then open all your other files and see what code is missing. (this would be the files just inside your catalog)

You may need to do a file compare by using something like DiffDaff.

I have compared all files in the catalog folder, and they are all ok.

I just cannot figure it out. Once i leave the main page of the website, the categories box just disappears. It does not reappear on any other page.

THis is killing me!!

You have categories box on all pages not called for by index.php

I do not have the folder/file path of admin>config>cache. But, in the Admin Panel, i have 'Configuration', and then Cache. I have got 'Use Cache' set to True.

Any other suggestions please?
