new_product_preview problem

I need someone with a little more expertise to look over my categories.php file if you would be so kind. Issue:

I have a a field for adding pdf's (products_spec) to product info, when i preview with no new pdf uploaded it doesnt show on preview page, further if i hit 'back' it will blank the field out. I can upload a pdf and click update from the preview page, it will then show the pdf filename under the pdf upload field... but on preview and back it will blank it out.

 

If someone can look over this massive categories.php file, i'd be greatful... i have a lot of mods in it and this is the only problems i'm having with it.
