jond
Hi, I have an oscommerce site at www.tools4flooring.com A few customers, one using an apple (not sure which browser) have stated they are unable to add to our shopping cart. I thought i had all bases covered. We use Ajax shopping cart to add the items via Javascript. However, when javascript is disabled, it adds the products the old fashioned way - I had tested and confirmed this. We use cookies, but when disabled, it uses a session. I have tested and confirmed this. I have also tested various levels of security in Internet Explorer, and can not reproduce? Can someone with a Mac try to add prdoucts to our cart? Or any insight into what could be causing the problem would be appreciated? Maybe an issue with Vista or a certain browser..?
usernamenone
oscommerce uses sessions and not cookies. Make the adjustments in admin to allow sessions and not cookies.
♥Vger
It's more likely that the customers with problems have AOL as their ISP. AOL can't follow a session trail to save its life. Vger
jond
It's more likely that the customers with problems have AOL as their ISP. AOL can't follow a session trail to save its life. Vger Thanks vger! ill have to look into this. Yeah, i already have sessions enabled, if the user has cookies disabled and it works fine in IE. I guess the few customers who are losing cart contents A. have cookies disabled, forcing a session to be apended to the URL B. are using AOL, which is not good with sessions. my site is www.tools4flooring.com - could someone with AOL confirm this? tahnks! Vger I have a shop in Holland (no AOL) and have experienced some of the same problems with customers that CAN register, but CANNOT login. From what I know now, this is a problem with MAC users, but I have not found the source...I'm am experimenting with the session settings right now.
