How do I upload my website

Having loaded oscommerce on to my hosts server and done the configuration I thought I had done all that was necessary. When I go to www.mydomain.com however, it displays a message from my host saying :-

 

'Welcome to Your New Hosting Package

This is your index.html page

Please replace this when you upload your website'

 

If I enter www.mydomain/index.html I get the same above message, but if I enter www.mydomain/index.php then I can see my oscommerce store.

 

Question is, what is meant by uploading my website and when does the index.php become index.html

You have to delete your index.html page. Then, it will work fine.
