toucanz Posted May 14, 2007 Share Posted May 14, 2007 Hello everybody, Is it possible to to set up the checkout and user accounts without ssl or is this a necessity? At the moment when they are clicked on they just come up with cannot display the webpage. It would work from you point of view, but may not work from customers point of view - many don't like it if it is without ssl. Thanks for your input I am setting up shop without SSL (to begin with) and new accounts work ok. Checkout works ok too, email goes out with purchase details but I get an error message. I am wondering if the absence of an SSL is the cause. Unfortunately no one seems to be able to help. If you want to compare settings with me you are very welcome. shines Posted May 16, 2007 Share Posted May 16, 2007 Got a problem that i cant figure out. sts is installed and it works great but the moment i define my ssl (https) in the configure.php and set enable ssl to true the login and checkout urls are broken and looking for something like this: checkout_shipping.php?osCsid=96225f2901d8484f2289e3a76c454b03 instead of just checkout_shipping.php, it does the same thing for the login page. this is prob easy but i am a n00b and cant find it in the documentation. thanks for your help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
