Change Store Address from /store/catalog to /catalog

Hi, I'm kinda new here.. My store is currently accessible by www.mysite.freehostingprovider.com/store/catalog

I want to make it so people only have to type in www.mysite.freehostingprovider.com/catalog -- getting rid of the /store part.

It's really annoying because when people just type in /store after the rest of the site address, they go to an index page where they can see all the files. I just want them to have to put /catalog or /store after my site address in order to be able to access my online store. How is this possible? I am using freehostia, if that helps. I tried moving the "catalog" folder up to where the "store" folder was. This worked, however I couldn't access any of the "catalog" files and when I went to the online location in my web browser, the index page was all screwed up. If anyone has any idea how to do this without messing the store up, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a similar problem:

You can only access my store by typing www.mystore.co.uk/catalg

I'd like people to be sent straight to my store by typing www.mystore.co.uk

How do I do this?

Thanks in advance!

The simplest way to stop people seeing all your files is to put an index.html file in the store directory. This can redirect people to the store/catalog directory.

Another way is to go to your Host's Control Panel and make the store directory as non-accessible. However, this will give an error and is not user-friendly.
