Product Names Not Showing

I'v got a small problem where the product names are not showing in specials, just the description and price are there. Also when you browse the catergories and you are on the last selection page where you have selected to prowse a particular group of products, exactly the same problem.

 

Any ideas how to rectify this?

I'v managed to resolve the specials problem, but still have the issue with the catergories.

Still no joy :'( iv included my index.php this time in the hope someone may be able to help me to resolve this.

I combined the best of both worlds using image resize [resized_product_images_0_3] and randomized products [Random New Products 1.1] and have them working together [almost]

 

As you can tell the command

'<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_PRODUCT_INFO, 'products_id=' . $new_products['products_id']) . '">'

 

is not working? It looks perfect to me! I'll attach my code for my file new_products.php below. Any help would be appreciated

Fixed it, here is the new code in case someone else has the same problem in the future [it was VERY easy]

This is a combination of three contributions applied over the latest version of osCommerce as of March 2008. version osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 Release Candidate 2a. This contribution combines the following:

  • Random images on homepage / on new_products.php
  • Resized images with FAST cache file for faster loading
  • BUY NOW feature for each item on the new_products.php page.

1. Changing new items to Random Products:

Open the file new_products.php which is found at /catalog/includes/modules/

Find both instances of 

p.products_date_added desc

Change both 

p.products_date_added desc

to 

RAND()

That completes the random images on your new_products.php modification.

 

2. Resizing images:

There are THREE steps to resizing the images on your new_products.php file.

 

FIRST:

Go to [via FTP] your /catalog/ install directory create a folder calling it 'img_cache'.

Next chmod this file to 777 so it is writable.

 

SECOND:

Go to catalog/includes/configure.php and at bottom, just before

Find a .gif image on the internet suitable for your website or create one on your own. Name it button_buy_now.gif

Place this file into catalog/includes/languages/english/images/buttons/

Your are going to add

Very strange that the code to resize the images to thumbnail is no longer working for me now that I have re-uploaded my entire site. Any one else have a problem with the resized images?

 

I may be in need of a bit of assistance. Any help would be appreciated.
