Theodor
Hi, (Sorry because my english...) So, I starting my online store, just I have few questions, before. Installed the store, everything works fine. This is an mp3 album store (nothing is wrong with the copyright, the band asked me to make sell their albums). My question is: All the thing I must to do to set up the TAX on the store? I living in Michigan, here the sales TAX is 6%. So all the thing I must to do is to change the Florida 7% to Michigan 6% and it's all? Is the store working the same as an e-bay selling, and I don't need to go to anykind of city hall or other office to report "I have a business online"? Just the 6%, right? My 2nd question is how the tax setup is working? I just setting up the 6% and I have nothing to do with all the tax things anymore? The paypal taking care of it? If I set up the 6% the paypal gives the 6% to the state after each sold things? (Ok, this is my first business in the US, so I have no idea.) :-) My 3rd question is about the credit card payment. The paypal is working perfect, I made few tests. I just don't know anything about the credit card. So if I have no credit card, I can't use the credit card payment on my site? Or if I have my bank accout I can receive money from credit cards? Last question everything is legal, right? Must be with the copyright, I just don't know about the tax-thing. If it's ok, I can start my store immediately. Greetings: Theodor :)

OS Commerce can calculate your taxes for you and include them in the balance received from your customer, but PayPal is no different than if you sold the items for cash. You are still responsible for maintaining your own taxation records and submitting them with your payments to your local taxation office. PayPal or Credit Card payments is just a different way of getting the cash into your hands.
