Hi

 

I have an SEO problem with generated pages which are

very similar as below:

 

http://www.domain.com/bead-piece-p-1761.html

http://www.domain.com/bead-piece-pr-1761.html

 

The only diff in the URL is p and pr

The pr page is blank but is generated for every product

in the catalog as well as its matching p page

 

How can I stop is being generated as it seems to have no function

at all?

PLUS it causes duplicate pages for the engines.

In the SEO urls class -pr- is product_reviews.php whereas -p- is products_info.php

 

These are entirely different pages

The -pr- is rewritten in .htaccess as follows:-

 

RewriteRule ^(.*)-pr-([0-9]+).html$ product_reviews.php?products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING}

So do you mean adding this line to my htaccess will stop the -pr pages being generated?

Sorry, so this htaccess will redirect urls with -pr to -p

as below, and stop siders crawling both pages?

What I mean is that your .htaccess will already include that line.

 

It is not a duplicate url it is a different url which is necessary for the product reviews feature

So If I dont want the prodcut reviews feature, I just remove the line and I wont get these pages being generated?

Or maybe there is away to switch of the product review feature in the admin panel?
