Guest
Hi guys! I've been reading here (and elsewhere on OSC) and still don't understand how to change the background color (or at least the bars) to something other than that dull gray. I've seen many references to the "Style Sheet", headers, footers, columns, etc. Although I've found the other things under "languages", I can't find "style sheet". What is that and where the heck is it located? And if someone can direct me to it, what do I do when I get there? The support team said they would change either the background or the bars to lavender for me, but have failed to do so. Now I'm on a mission!! Thank you so much for any direction you can give me. Guest
Thank you!!! I found the "Style Sheet" as you instructed and can see how and where the colors could be changed, however, now I have to bother you one more time. Where do I go to look up the "fffff"s and other available color "nicknames" (if that's what they're called) so I will know what letters match what corresponding color? This is such a strange and surreal journey here for me. I deeply apologize for my ignorance. Again, thank you so much!

I am having some success, but some issues as well. I have found the stylesheet, and I am changing colors. All except the one specific one i need changed. The gray in the boxes. Where it has categories, my account, Manufacturers, etc. Which one needs to be manipulated in order to change the gray on the main page?

laurentb
Hi This is my first contribution, so feel free to critizise if I got it all wrong. I am new so I am learning with my needs. I have just been through the same process few days ago, and took some notes as I went along for future references (I am using the trial and error process) lol You can see my notes on the stylesheet. I hope they are comprehensible. www.jour-de-fete.co.uk/help/stylesheet.css I haven't been through the whole file yet, so there are some variable that I haven't identified yet I hope it helps

Now that I'm back on osCommerce (updated, too!) I was looking at having to do the "trial and error" thing all over again! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Guest
I just thought I would introduce you people to a wonderful FREEWARE program that will make finding/replacing colors OH SO EZ! The program is called "Color Cop" You can download it here ---> http://prall.net/colorcop It even has an eyedropper that lets you get the code to any color you see anywhere on the net... An A+++++++++++ Program for all OSC developers/designers. John
