Hey guys,

We received our first 2 orders from our site using the Paypal payment module. It all worked fine, but it doesn't tell us anywhere what product the customer ordered... Any ideas??

Thanks!

Although I haven't tried this it should be in your admin section - if you go to the customers section, find the customer then click Orders it should give the details.

This is a Paypal problem. Well documented so do a search and you will find lots of threads. Solution is to install the IPN contribution

indeedy so. its a problem after paying in the paypal site, the customer has to click on 'return to merchant'. if they dont, you dont get the order info anywhere.

the soultion is paypal ipn

My osc store VERSION 2.2-MS2 was pre-built and installed for me... so I really dont know if the installer added module contributions or not. I can tell you that I regularlly look at the following:

Admin Panel

Left SideBar

Tools

Customers

Under CUSTOMERS you will see a list of customers who have made purchases and those who have not. This list will be in alphabetical order.

Scroll to highlight a customer

Look on your right side

See,

Edit, Delete, Orders, Email

Choose ORDERS

See the following buttons on your right

Edit, Delete, Invoice, Packaging

Hightlight the customer to want

Then,

Choose EDIT to view their order

Note: The ORDERS button will sort orders by date

There probably is a way to get a detailed invoice from PayPal, but for the most part PayPal just gives you name, address, dollar amount etc. Best to use your own database for customer info, imo.

Also, I do get an email sent to me upon completion from my own store telling me what the customer purchased.
