Category Image / Type Issue

Hi Toyicebear,

 

Thanks for you work & support on this template! I'm stuck trying to fiquire out the best way to change the Caterory type and background_default .gif. I would like to do one of the following.

 

1) show the categories as thumbnails with text below

 

2) Remove the type and background_default.gif and move the login greeting and new products table to the top.
