stonyhill
I am setting up an OSCommerce store for a client. It is a standard install of the latest version. I need to add discount coupon functionality, but I have tried three different coupon/discount systems, and all three of them completely break my store, leading to blank pages. From what I read on the forum, CCGV(trad) is probably the way to go. I've followed the instructions (copy all files and run the SQL query) but no luck. My store is dead until I restore it from my backup. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Guest
the modules work if you follow the installation instructions with the stock osc. Having some php/osc knowledge also helps with integration in stores that are customized. Typically the more coding knowledge you have the easier the integration is. Each contribution usually has a support thread where you can check for similar problems and rectify yours. Blank pages usually indicate syntax errors with php. I shouldn't have any syntax errors, since I haven't done any manual php editing. All I did was to overwrite my standard install with the files from the CCGV download. I did check the contribution support thread, but didn't find anything of use.
berkedam
I can only confirm that CCGV works as expected. In a fresh osC-060817 and afterwords built-in into an already heavily modified shop. Pls. explain what "dead" means in your case. "If you're working on something new, then you are necessarily an amateur."

Pls. explain what "dead" means in your case. Dead means that the store is completely blank -- after I install CCGV, I get a blank page when I go to mysite.com/catalog and I have to upload my site backup in order to get my store up and running again. Does CCGV require some particular version of PHP or mySQL that might not be running on my server?

Does CCGV require some particular version of PHP or mySQL that might not be running on my server? I have the latest PHP & mySQL, I just had the CCGV installed & mine works fine. This is a big mod to install and is tricky if your store is modified. I cheated and had someone install it for me, as when I did it, I lost my site as well. Downloading the most resent version in the contribution isnt always the best one.
