Kyrsten
I just signed up this monring for Pay Pal Web Payments Pro and filled out the online application. I am wondering how long it takes to get the approval to go through. Being a newbie I made a rookie mistake in installing the credit card module on my site thinking that Pay Pal would process direct credit cards, thinking this was the same as paying through Pay Pal without creating a Pay Pal account as my old site had, which was through Ebay Pro Stores...hence all the integrating was pre done, but I do not recommend using Pro Stores for an e-commerce site, is absolutely awful! Well, I received an order and low and behold, payment was with credit card and no record of it in my Pay Pal account. I have the full credit card number to bill it using the virtual terminal, but I am curious how long the process takes. Also, with all the horror stories about Pay Pal that have surfaced over the years, I am wondering how difficult it is to be approved. I really didn't like the idea of giving my social security number, which is why I hadn't gotten Web Payments Pro before now, but sucked it up and did it since I now find myself in this situation. Does it help the approval process for Web Payments Pro go any smoother or faster being that I have an established Pay Pal account that I have had for 3 years now with over 1000 verified transactions, debit card, and all verifications to be confirmed in every manner possible and have had all this since I initially opened the account or does Pay Pal base approval strictly on credit report, since I presume that is the main reason for wanting the social security number. Any experience anyone can share is greatly appreciated!
bobg7
Setting up a new PayPal account takes up to a week, they xfer a small amount into and out of your bank account to verify it's working properly. You should have an email from PayPal explaining the process. Once you get the PayPal working properly, you can then setup for a Virtual Account that will allow you to use the Credit Card module, you will need to install the CVV module to use the Virtual Account. Installed Contributions: CCGV, Close Popup, Dynamic Meta Tags, Easy Populate, Froogle Data Feeder, Google Position, Infobox Header Entire Row, Live Support for OSC, PayPal Seal with CC images, Report_m Sales, Shop by Price Revised, SQL Updater, Who's Online Enhancement, Footer, GNA EP Assistant and still going.
