messed w/ product_info, now no product info showing...

i went into the product_info.php to change the one line out for ordering the attributes, and all of the sudden all of my product info/descriptions are gone. i can see all my products in the navigation and in the product categories, but when i click on the actualy product there is nothing there.

 

i tried uploading a fresh/untouched copy of product_info and it is still not working.

 

 

please help me.

what's it's suppose to fetch if you took out the product_info_query?

nm i just realized that you are saying that i already have it. the other line is a couple spaces above the line you are talking about.

 

shouldnt i just be able to take a fresh copy of the product_info from osc and copy it over?

that's what i would try. copy a fresh product_info file from the OsC download and see what happens.

argh, still nothing. i download osc again and only copied up the new product_info.php file to my server, and still the same thing. i can see products everywhere except for the actual product_info page. i did a file compare between the server file and the fresh product_info on my computer...exactly the same. i can see all the descriptions in the admin area too...just not on the actual page.

 

i'm seriously at a loss here and my site is down until i can get this up.

i did a few other simple contribs this morning, is there any way any other files could be causing the product info to not show?

 

to get more detailed to see if someone can help...

 

this morning i did log-in box contrib, the contrib where you can put your product categories in the center of the index page with images, and finally the change the allows you to better control what order your attributes are listed in(only change to this is a change in the product_info page but i've already uploaded a fresh copy of it from osc so this change is no longer there.)

 

touched these files today:

/catalog/includes/column_right.php

/catalog/includes/languages/english.php

/catalog/includes/functions/general.php

/catalog/index.php

 

 

added these files today:

/catalog/includes/boxes/loginbox.php

/catalog/includes/languages/english/loginbox.php

/catalog/includes/modules/main_categories.php

 

 

if any of these files may have a chance to be causing me to not see the product info on the product_info page...please let me know and i'll upload fresh copies of all of them again.

ok this is messed up. i undid the contribs and still no product info. any recommendations for next steps?

 

i just dont want to have to enter in all of the product information again because it took all week to do it. there has got to be a way to get it working without re-entering since i can see the product information everywhere else just not the product info page.

Inputting the descriptions again would be a futile process if you still see the descriptions in the admin section. A different tack needs to be taken, but I'm at a loss on how to help you solve this issue.

I see your website is back up, fancy sharing the wisdom? I seem to have the same issue after editting product_info.php via dreamweaver . All paths were converted to local paths, which I corrected but to no avail.

 

My error logs tell me there is an error with line 18 on privacy.php (but there isnt)
